Mountains and Relationships – the journey to Guangzhou and Aotearoa, gouache, pencil, paper, 2025
At Papirlageret we have the group exhibition PAP & PAPIR, where I have a gouache work entitled “Mountains and Relationships – the journey to Guangzhou and Aotearoa”. Formed from travel sketches from China and New Zealand. Here the fragmentary expression of the collage is reflected. It points to military escalation (in China) and New Zealand’s treatment of the Maori, as well as the melancholy of a transnational family, since half of the family lives in New Zealand.
